Web apps and AI features for founders and small teams.
I'm Bryan, an independent engineer in Chicago. I take on a few fixed-scope projects a year and do the work myself.

What I build
For founders
A first version that's ready for real users
You have an idea, a prototype or a spreadsheet that's outgrown itself. I design and build the production app: accounts, data, the screens people use every day, and the deploy. You end up with software you can hand to the next engineer without apologizing.
For small teams
AI features that hold up in production
You have a product and a team that's already busy. I add the LLM features worth having, like search, drafting, summaries and agents, and build them to be measured, debuggable and affordable to run.
How I work
I build with coding agents every day, with a process that keeps them honest: written specs, recorded decisions, tests, and review of every change. It's faster than working alone, and you can see why each part of your software is the way it is.
I built my own tool for it, lore, which ties those notes to the code they govern.
